Ex-bourbon wood is the perfect platform for this characterful Speyside spirit, particularly revered in Japan. The traits which make Glenburgie so highly-prized for blenders - aromatic and grassy, with a cereal sweetness and oily mouthfeel – are all in abundance here. No wonder it’s such a vital component of Ballantine’s, the world’s 2nd biggest selling Scotch whisky.
