Tasting Notes

Colour: Burnt amber.
Nose: Wood smoke, raspberry, grilled whitebait and ponzu.
Palate: Christmas marmalade, gravelly peat and roasted, salted almond.
Finish: Medicinal, briney iodine with toasted pine nut and dried plum.

Further Information

Our first release from Inchdairnie, the Fife distillery which began distillation in December 2015. We start with a bang, and their heavily peated make known as Finglassie. Full maturation in a 1st fill Rioja wine barrel counters the more greasy, salty and medicinal elements of the spirit, that is very reminiscent of Laphroaig.
